I’ve always been a fan of horror, especially creature. Some of the artworks here are based on free 3D models I downloaded and further developed by refining the mesh, UV unwrapping, and texturing in Adobe Substance Painter, followed by lighting and rendering in Autodesk Maya.
CHASING AFTERLIFE is an animated short film directed by Shruti, developed by a six-person team over three months. I worked as the Lead Lighting Artist, shaping the mood, atmosphere, and visual tone of the film. The project has since won awards and has been selected by multiple film festivals
Alongside lighting, I was also responsible for a selection of environment and asset modeling, as well as texturing and look development. This breakdown reel showcases my process in refining assets and building their final look for the film.
