Born and raised in Malaysia, and recently graduated with a Bachelor of 3D Animation & VFX in New Zealand, Ka Wee Teong is a new indie filmmaker with over nine years of experience creating social-media content across cinematic vlogs, YouTube series, music videos, horror short films, documentaries, and commercials.

Over the years, WEE has planned, directed, filmed, and edited more than 300 videos—developing a versatile skill set shaped by hands-on, solo production. His journey as an online creator taught him to craft stories efficiently, adapt to different genres, and build strong visual narratives regardless of scale or budget.

His background in 3D lighting and look-development further strengthens his approach to cinematography and visual storytelling, allowing him to blend artistic intuition with technical precision.

WEE is now pursuing opportunities within film, television, and commercial production—eager to collaborate with creative teams, grow as a director and cinematographer, and contribute to meaningful, emotionally driven projects.
